Humanitarian
Hawaii International Child has provided vital aid to orphans around the world since 1975. We are committed to assisting children in orphanages by donating basic living necessities such as food, clothing, medical supplies, developmental toys, and basic needs of the orphanages. The following are highlights of some of the recent efforts we have undertaken around the globe.

2007 - ETHIOPIA - HIC provides monthly financial support to sponsor children in a rural region of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Our donation also covers the cost of daily lunch meals for 100 orphans.
2003 to 2007 - VIETNAM - HIC is committed to providing ongoing humanitarian support to an orphanage in Nam Quang, Vietnam. Our support funds many of the basic expenses such as food, clothing, medical supplies for the children
2002 to 2007 – China – Since 2002, HIC has been committed to the children of the Weinan Orphanage outside of Xian, China. A monthly contribution covers utilities, basic supplies, and tuition for children to receive educational services.
2006 - ETHIOPIA - Last year, HIC Team Ethiopia made its first trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and funded two projects for needy children. Both the Mojo and Dukem projects allowed HIC staff and volunteers to meet children, conduct a small interactive project, provide aid, and assess the needs of these communities.
2006 - VIETNAM - HIC continues to support the Red Cross orphanage in Can Tho, Vietnam. Our monthly support pays for food and clothing for the children, salaries and basic maintenance for the orphanage.
